Kia ora, welcome, we are so glad you're here! Franklin Baptist is located in Tāmaki Makaurau and as a faith community we are about loving God and loving people.

If Franklin Baptist sounds like a place you'd like to call home, then we would love to  connect you to our larger church whānau. Joining a new faith community can sometimes be intimidating, but we want to make this process easy for you. We believe the best way to learn about Jesus and follow him is in community, so we'd love to help you find the next step in your journey, whatever it might be. Welcome home.

 

We will lead people closer to Jesus, through our diverse regional church family that embraces all ages and all cultures. By the empowering of the Holy Spirit, we are compelled by the great commandment and great commission: to love God, to love people, and to go into our world and make disciples. Our rich Baptist and bi-cultural heritage will shape our ongoing journey together, as we seek to see lives and communities transformed.

In our Church Whānau, every language, tribe and tongue is of value. We embrace the diversity amongst us, and we are open to God’s lead wherever he may take us on the bi-cultural and multi-cultural journey.

In our Church Whānau, we respect and partner with Franklin Baptist Church staff. We stand shoulder to shoulder serving God and we work together to achieve His mission amongst us.

In our Church Whānau, we follow a “how can I help” approach. If we see something that needs change or improvement, we take responsibility as individuals to proactively and constructively work with the relevant Leadership Team member or Ministry Leader to address the matter.

In our Church Whānau, we carefully consider how our thoughts, speech and actions may impact one another. We show love and respect, and we receive/give feedback to each other with grace and humility.

In our Church Whānau, we affirm both men and women equally in leadership and service. We encourage all people to discover where God is calling them to serve.

We are huge believers that church is a family and as a family everyone can contribute and do what they are made for. We desire for our church leadership team to reflect that, with people of all kinds of gifts doing what they are made for from teaching and pastoring, to systems and organisation, being creative and serving.
